Know What To Look For..Before You Commit!

Know What To Look For..Before You Commit!

If you're researching information in order to add something to a particular area of your marketing program, there are a few things you should know and research before you make a commitment to purchase and/or participate in that new venture. This may save you a lot of grief and time in the future by asking yourself a few simple questions before you make the plunge.

Different Systems:

There are several ways a person or business can promote their business opportunity online. We've all seen advertisements that really catch the eye and possibly we've even looked into the offering a little deeper because we were curious. Once in a while we find a nugget of information that really we can grasp and can apply to our everyday lives or our existing marketing system. How does an uninformed person know where to even begin the due diligence process to see if a person or company is in fact who they say they are before the newbie commits their time and money?

Don't Be Afraid to Call:

One of the ways that I recommend to see if it's real, is to pick up the phone and see if someone on the other end answers. Maybe their contact method is an answering machine. Another thing that really upsets me is for someone to only put a P.O. Box number for their only contact information. How can anyone be receptive to their business offering by just having a post office box? What if you need to get hold of them with a question or a problem? Your system could be shut down for several hours or possibly even days. I can't stress enough the importance of being able to contact a person or business you are considering becoming a part of.

Google It:

Google provides an excellent source of information on almost any subject. Most of us know how to "Google It". Take advantage of this valuable service when doing your due diligence. Check and see if there are any negative postings regarding the venture or person you're about to associate yourself with. It's better to find out any bad news before you commit to become a part of that organization. Always do your due diligence thoroughly and you will avoid many problems later on.

Other Considerations:

One other consideration is the up front cost of the offering. Are there enrollment fees, maintenance fee, up front one time charges and the list goes on and on.

Another consideration would be....if I am looking for a lead generation program to incorporate into my existing marketing program, does the lead generating system being offered allow me to imput my personal and/or business information so I can target market a particular group of clientele? If the answer is no, then look no further...click off that program and go to the next offering.

Another question would be....How often you can submit your offering to the internet and what limitations are there on the frequency of submissions. This is a critical issue....remember you need leads to promote your opportunity.....you may need to submit your offering often, to get a lot of response with a particular ad campaign.

Another important feature I would look for is, where are those leads returned to. Do they go to someone else and then funneled to you, or are those leads returned directly into your marketing system for follow-up! Doesn't it make sense that if you are the one that is generating the lead, that the sales lead should be coming back directly to you? I think this answer is quite obvious.

Another issue would be regarding the support information. If you have a problem, who would you contact to get the issues resolved as quickly as possible. I have seen offering that had absolutely no contact information at all on their site. If you find this on any offering...immediately click off that site and go to the next offering.

This is not a complicated process....however, this is a process that you must incorportate into your pre-enrollment activities of any program if your going to be effective in your marketing efforts. Take care of this type of issue before the fact...not after the fact.
